The City of Safety Harbor is the perfect location if you want that small town feeling yet close to the conveniences of the big city. Its proximity to Tampa, Clearwater and St. Petersburg makes it a desirable location for commuters, where they can escape from the hustle and bustle within a few miles.
If you like the Old Florida feel, then Safety Harbor is for you. Located on the west shore of upper Tampa Bay in Pinellas County, Safety Harbor is one of the county’s best kept secrets. An old time Main Street with Brick paved streets and plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment, Safety Harbor has it all. With a population of around 17,000, Safety Harbor is a quaint, family oriented town with plenty of activities. Every 3rd Friday the downtown area is transformed into a street festival with food, drink, and entertainment for all ages. The annual Chalk Art Festival is a popular draw from all over, with artists from around the country convening on main street and creating beautiful works of art on the sidewalk.
Safety Harbor is the home of the historic natural Espiritu Santo Springs and the World Famous Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. The springs which have attracted attention worldwide for their curative powers, were given this name in 1539 by the Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto while he was searching for legendary Fountain of Youth.
